Martial arts as a leisure sporting activity

The thesis deals with martial art as a free time activity. It explains the difference between martial art, combat sport and self-defense. It describes the chosen martial arts - kung-fu, taekwon-do, karate, judo, aikido and caopeira. It lists the basic characteristics of individual martial arts and historical development, used fighting styles and techniques. It describes the levels of technical skill and competitive disciplines. It deals with the moral aspect of every martial art, its influence on the psychological and moral side of an individual, pedagogical influence of a master or a trainer on its pupil. The thesis compares the chosen martial arts from the technical, competitive and spiritual side. Martial arts have positive affect on the formation of personality of individual, supports harmony of both spiritual and physical aspect and so they can find suitable application in free time activities.

Circadian sleep preferences of children of older school age practicing karate.

The aim of my bachelor thesis was to find out circadian sleep preferences of older school-age children practising karate. In the theoretical part of the bachelor thesis, I deal with the sleep problems of older school-age children, where I define important terms, which are: circadian rhythms, speed abilities, specifics of sports preparation of children practising karate. Circadian rhythms affect the bodily functions of our body within twenty-four hours. Speed abilities are one of the most important abilities which are involved in the athlete's final performance. The specifics od sports training for children practising karate depend on the age, sex, level, motivation and determination of the athlete. Older school-age i sone of the most important parts of life. There is a formation of the mental and physical aspects of man. The practical part was realized using a standardized questionnaire of the composite scale of morning and evening types Skočovský (2004), which was filled by 40 children (20 boys, 20 girls) of older school-age from 11 to 15 years. Based on the evaluation of the questionnaire, the aim of the work was fulfilled and I came to the following most important data: 15 % of boys are morning types or larks, 65 % of boys are neutral or third birds and 20 % of boys are evening types or owls. I also found that 40 % od girls are morning types, 55 % of girls are third birds and 5 % of girls are evening types.
Dependence of somatotype and fitness condition in martial arts

Title: Dependence of somatotype and fitness condition in martial arts. Thesis aim: Main aim of this thesis is to find out mutual dependence among tracked variables - placed in ranking list and UNIFITTEST (6-60). Methods: For theoretical part of thesis the author used method of analysis and synthesis of specialized literary sources. In practical part the main method used was regression analysis. Method according to Heath-Carter was used to assessment somatotype. Towards evaluation of kinetic performance and efficiency was used UNIFITTEST (6-60). Results: Results from research show us that during the research of mutual dependencies it hasn't proved any link between tracked variables and place in ranking list UNIFITTEST (6-60). Considering measured values judo athletes are in category endomorphic mesomorphic and karate athletes are in category well-balanced mesomorphic. Analysis of the versatility of karatekas at competitions in the Czech Republic in the last twelve years

The presented diploma thesis deals with the extensive and detailed analysis of versatility of karatekas based on the analysis of the results of the competitions in the National Cup JKA Czech Republic and the Czech Republic Championship JKA ČR in the categories from younger students to senior citizens in the Czech Republic over the past twelve years. The work was created as detailed extension examined shrinking phenomenon, relating to the versatility of karatekas in those competitions, categories and periods in the Czech Republic. Materials relating to the the final location of individual karatekas in those competitions, categories and periods in the Czech Republic were analyzed within the diploma thesis solution. The history philosophy and the meaning of karate are briefly shown in the theoretical part. To understand not only the results of the research part, but the whole work, there is also characterized competition and tournament rules and regulations. The results of the competitions following the versatility of karatekas are analyzed by the valid method in the research part of the diploma thesis, which lies in the tendency to place the medal positions in kata (set of consecutive techniques) and also in kumite (fight of two karate). Title: Management Comparison of JKA Sports Karate Association in the Czech Republic and Abroad Goals: This thesis deals with the problematic of management in sports karate organizations in selected European countries. The aim is to give suggestions for management improvement in selected organizations. The suggestions will be based on an analysis of managerial functions and subsequent comparison of Czech and foreign organizations. Methods: For this thesis I used the methods of structured non-standardized interview, descriptive analysis, SWOT analysis and comparison. Results: The results of the thesis are proposals for implementation in problematic parts of each organization. The changes are proposed in managerial functions of planning, organizing and staffing and improvement of sponsorship and promotional activities. The theoretical part of my thesis deals with the sport karate training, its components, improving motor skills which are typical for karate and other factors affecting the results of sport training. In the empirical part I find, based on direct interviews with individual representatives, national coaches, difference or similarity of their preparation for the World Championships or European Championships in Karate (Kata men) in their final part of season.
